News From Masters
Donations are still being accepted for the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation fundraiser through Friday, April 27. The foundation is on a mission to cure, prevent and treat Type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications. T1D is an autoimmune disease that can suddenly strike both children and adults. At present, there is no cure.
So far, $730 has been raised at Masters, according to health teacher Shannon Nicholson, adding that organizers are hoping to exceed last year's fundraising total of $4,000. Donations can be made online at this website.
In order to raise awareness for T1D, Masters will host a "Walk for a Cure" on the School's track on April 27 from 9:00-10:00 AM, during the physical education block for grades five and six. All students, parents, faculty and staff are invited to join us in the walk.
