Four students from Masters' partner school in Tokyo attended classes, played sports and experienced other aspects of campus life during a recent visit.

The visitors, who attend Jiyu Gakuen, an independent day and boarding school, were Ikuho Kumagai, Miu Ueno, Torakusu Bessho and Jack Smithers. They were accompanied by their teacher, Kenta Harigaya. The group visited Masters from March 25 to April 6.

The Japanese students participated in a wide range of activities, including creating prints in an art class, playing pick-up basketball with Masters students, and enjoying a daytime "homestay" with Kai Cowin '21, according to Rob Fish, Director of Global and Civic Exchange. The group also visited Bronx Collaborative High School, a public school in the Bronx, NY that occasionally partners with Masters on exchange programs.

It was the second visit to Masters by a group from Jiyu Gakuen, says Dr. Fish. In June 2017, 15 Masters students visited Jiyu Gakuen, a partner school since 2016.
