Senior fencing star Petar Janićijević held a signing ceremony in front of a crowded room of family members, friends, teammates, faculty, coaches and administrators on Wednesday afternoon.

Janićijević — a decorated fencer on the high school, club and international level — will continue his career at powerhouse Penn State University next season.

"I would like to thank everyone in this room for showing up," Janićijević said. "I'm here with a lot of family, friends, coaches and I don't think I would be as good of a fencer if it wasn't for you guys. Thank you for showing up and supporting me all the way."

Janićijević, a five-year member of the varsity team, captured an astounding 13 titles in both team and individual league/tournament formats. He also made the Serbian National Team, competing in various international events around the globe.

He will join a Penn State squad that has captured a record-setting 13 NCAA national championships.

"Petar will be another Olympian from The Masters School," said legendary former Masters fencing coach Francisco Martin, who delivered remarks at the event. "You are going to one of the best fencing teams in the country. There are so many NCAA champions from Penn State and so many people from Penn State make Olympic teams, including one of our former Masters fencers, Suzie Paxton. I'm sure you will be one of them, too."
