Seventh graders displayed their Journey Projects at the presentation, "From There to Here: A Celebration of Journeys through Seventh Grade," on Tuesday, May 22 in Doc Wilson Hall.
The event gave the students an opportunity to show their original art projects that express the journey they have taken through seventh grade. Their creations were metaphors for events or experiences that shaped who they are today.
The students also chose to honor an individual they had studied in some capacity with an image and description, and displayed their "Unique Me" collages on the walls to demonstrate their perception of themselves from the beginning of the year, said humanities teacher Paul Friedman.
Lastly, the students painted inner/spiritual animal portraits that were displayed on the walls of the second floor near the art room.
