The Pittsburgh Library

The Pittsburgh Library reinforces the goals of our mission statement by providing support for the challenging academic environment and a conducive environment for research and study.

The Library currently houses 13,000 print volumes, subscribes to more than 40 newspapers and magazines, and has access to over 1,000 e-books, plus many thousand electronic periodicals and professional journals. A full complement of subscription resources covering all areas of academic research is available remotely 24 hours a day. The School is also a member of the Westchester Library System, which allows our students access to the collections of a wide range of public and academic libraries in the metropolitan area.

A conference room is available for classes and meetings. In addition, there are a dozen study carrels, quiet areas for reading, and long tables at which students can work together to make the library a central part of student life.

A dedicated Middle School section caters to our younger students. The library is also home to two peer-staffed centers. The Writers’ Center and the Technology Help Desk gives budding writers and techies places to share their skills.

The library is open seven days a week - including before school and until late in the evening weekdays.
